Amstel Buiten leases retail space in former Hudson’s Bay Amstelveen to Jumbo Supermarket

Amstel Buiten has leased 2,000 m² of ground-floor retail space in the former Hudson’s Bay building at Buitenplein/Handelsplein in Amstelveen to Jumbo Supermarkets.

Originally constructed for department store V&D, the approximately 22,500 m² property is being redeveloped by Amstel Buiten, a joint venture between Mobion Group, 3B Group and Solidiam, into the multifunctional complex ‘The Bay’. As part of the ongoing repositioning of the asset, the arrival of Jumbo aligns seamlessly with Amstel Buiten’s strategy to transform the building into a dynamic blend of retail and services. The supermarket is expected to open in the summer of 2026 and will be the third Jumbo location in Amstelveen.

It was previously announced that the second through fourth floors have been sold to EasyStorage.
