The property at Buitenplein and the adjacent parking garage have been acquired by Amstel Buiten, a joint venture of Mobion Group, 3B GROUP and Solidiam N.V. . This purchase marks the beginning of a new chapter for the distinctive building, which is located in the vibrant shopping area of Amstelveen.
The building spans approximately 22,500 m², spread across six floors. It was once home to the department store V&D. After its closure in 2016, the building underwent a major renovation. Simultaneously the adjacent parking garage was completely rebuilt. Subsequently the building briefly served as a location for Hudson’s Bay, and was until recently being leased to clothing store Big L Jeans.
The modern Buitenplein parking garage, with approximately 455 parking spaces, is leased to Q-park and plays an important role in the accessibility of the city center of Amstelveen.
Amstel Buiten has major plans to revitalize the area. The building will be transformed with an appealing concept, aiming for a lively mix of amenities that cater to the needs of Amstelveen residents.
Amstel Buiten was commercially advised by retail investment broker Retail Capital and legally supported by Rechtstaete. The seller was assisted by CBRE and Houthoff.
